Reading Between the Wines is much more than a cookbook  It makes you want to start your own book club.   This book is a fun and playful introduction to starting and sustaining a successful book club.  These book club ladies share a contagious sense of adventure and the joys of friendship while bonding over a good book.

The book details how a group of Sarnia, Ontario women started a book club, then added a travel component consisting of mystery getaways for their members. Calling themselves the Giller Girls (GG), their selection of books is reviewed and rated according to the number of wine glasses they merit.

Reading Between the Wines also includes a recipe section consisting of themed bites compiled from more than 60 book club meetings. Recipes include starters (a quick and easy shrimp dip, artichoke and garlic dip, salsa, and antipasti platter to name a few) to soups and quick, but elegant, light meals - and of course, desserts.
