Condition: Very Good -The text is bright, clean, and unmarked with tight, sound binding. The boards have light edgewear, with scuffing at the corners and at the head and tail of the spine. The lettering lightly faded. The book has illustrated endpapers and speckled foreedges. The previous owner's name is inscribed on the front endpaper and table of contents.
The American Woman's Cook Book is replete with hundreds of black-and-white and colour photographs and illustrations. Page edges feature thumb indents that divide the book into sections. The book contains over 10,000 recipes and has gone through many printings and editions. Among collectors of vintage cookbooks, this is a staple. It is on par with Betty Crocker’s Cook Book or The Joy of Cooking in that it is a classic cookbook, loaded from beginning to end with recipes for all sorts of American dishes.
